This post is in response to “Five Sentence Fiction!”
Morning sunlight seeping through the navy blue curtains of his small basement window landed on his face, waking him. Mashing on his groggy eyes, he checked his work and came to the conclusion that he finally did it. The years of toiling, the coffee induced all nighters, the endless hand drawn blue prints, the laughters from his colleagues, the rejection letters, the failed prototypes, the mounting credit card debt… his whole life’s work, all lead up to this moment. He couldn’t feel any happier if he tried.
He will be forever known as the man who invented the device that allowed people to wear their shoes backwards.
